Hi! I'm Sierra, the photographer and creative behind HUTCH! I’ve always been drawn to the moments people tend to move through too quickly. A hand reached for without thinking, the way a room feels before dinner begins, light falling across a table or the small details that make a season recognizable years later.

Through years of building Moments to Hold and documenting celebrations across the world, I've learned how to anticipate meaningful moments as they naturally unfold. That documentary instinct is at the heart of my photography, but it does not mean I expect you to know exactly what to do in front of the camera.

During portraits, I’ll guide you, help with posing and make small adjustments so you feel comfortable and look your best. I’ll give you direction when you need it, then leave room for your natural connection and personality to come through. The goal is never to make you feel overly posed. It is to help you relax enough that the photographs still feel like you.

My style is true to color, warm and polished without feeling stiff. I photograph digitally and on film throughout the Carolinas and wherever the work takes me.

When I’m not behind the camera, I’m usually with my husband Teddy and our three dogs, planning my next trip, rearranging a room or finding an excuse to gather people around a table.

More than anything, I want to create photographs that feel like the moment itself and become even more meaningful with time.
